Damar Hamlin Shares Love From His Hospital Bed As Buffalo Bills Achieve Victory Over New England Patriots

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin sent well wishes to his teammates from his hospital bed ahead of Sunday nights 35–23 win against the New England Patriots. Hamlin shared a photo on Instagram that shows him in his hospital bed, decked out in a Love For Damar Hamlin jersey and holding up a heart sign. He captioned the photo, “GAMETIME.” Hamin remains hospitalized after he went into cardiac arrest on the field during a Monday Night Football game against the Bengals in Cincinnati on Jan. 3. “On a long road keep praying for me,” Hamlin wrote in an Instagram post on Saturday, Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals, the Buffalo Bills said in a statement on Twitter. His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the [University of Cincinnati] Medical Center for further testing and treatment. Hamlin, 24, collapsed after making a tackle in the first quarter. Paramedics administered CPR for several minutes as players from both teams gathered together on the field. After Hamlin was taken off the field in an ambulance, both teams returned to their locker rooms, and the game was ultimately canceled. Hamlin has since received an outpouring of support from across the NFL and the world of sports.
