The Philadelphia Eagles narrowly lost Super Bowl LVII 38–35 to the Kansas City Chiefs at State Farm Stadium in Phoenix, Ariz., on Sunday, and Philly fans let their frustrations be known.
A video shared by Twitter user @KodyZeigler1 shows crowds of Eagles fans hoisting the teams flag in front of Philadelphia City Hall despite their loss.
Super Bowl MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes overcame an injured ankle to lead the Kansas City Chiefs to victory.
Late in the first half, Mahomes limped off the field after a tackle by Eagles linebacker T.J. Edwards that apparently aggravated a prior ankle sprain. After resting through the halftime performance by Rihanna, Mahomes came back to lead the Chiefs from behind in the second half.
The game was tied 35–35 with just a few minutes left when a defensive holding call against Eagles cornerback James Bradberry helped the Chiefs make it to a game-winning field goal by Harrison Butker.
Mahomes and the Chiefs took home the Vince Lombardi trophy for the second time in four years.
