Serbia-born NBA superstar Nikola Jokić will soon launch his first signature shoe after signing a deal with Chinese sportswear brand 361 Degrees.
The deal was announced on Christmas Day, and will see the Denver Nuggets center enter the sneaker game for the first time. After being drafted by the Nuggets in 2014 and winning two regular-season MVP awards, Jokić led the team to an NBA Championship this year and won the Finals MVP award.
I’m very excited to join the 361° team. As a fan of their work and commitment to performance, I believe this partnership aligns perfectly with my values, Jokić said in a statement. I’m thrilled to be part of the 361° family and to contribute to their mission of bringing wellness and sports to people around the world.
The brand said Jokić’s first signature shoe with the brand will be coming very soon.
The work we have done on my first shoe has been amazing so far, and I cannot wait to share it with everyone very soon, Jokić said.
Until then, he will be wearing the brand’s latest performance basketball shoe, the Big3 Future High, on the court. The shoe is a player exclusive to Jokić, but a low-top version will be made available to the public.
The 361 Degrees Big3 Future Low will be released at 7 a.m. ET on Dec. 28, exclusively on 361usa.com and kickscrew.com, priced at $160.
