Scouting app backed by sports greats lets athletes upload videos, stats to connect with agents
Over a dozen professional athletes and sports executives have joined forces to revolutionize the way competitors around the globe are scouted for the big leagues, with the creation of a new app.
ScoutUs Pro launched on November 1 and it’s the first-of-its-kind global platform that links emerging athletes with scouts, agents and matchmakers through the palm of their hands.
Using a computer, tablet or a cell phone, the app allows athletes to instantly create a profile and plug in their positions, statistics and achievements, and upload videos of their performance, that are accessible to scouts all over the world.

On the flip side, scouts who register can seamlessly search and review this data to identify prospective pro athletes and communicate with them directly, making the traditional time-consuming and costly process of traveling the world to meet, watch and sign talent obsolete.
“Major League Baseball (MLB) has given me a fantastic career with seasons playing for the Phillies, Dodgers, and the White Sox. There are amazing athletes out there, waiting to be discovered, and ScoutUs Pro has been able to join tech and sports to make sure more of those great athletes reach their dreams,” MLB legend Jimmy Rollins tells Sports Report+.

Yasuda stressed the platform makes it possible for players of any sport to get their talents seen by the right people in the industry. “From baseball, bodybuilding to martial arts, sports is my life! Friedel, an American-born goalkeeper who played professionally in England for almost two decades, admits breaking into professional sports is “not easy.” “It shouldn’t be. But, if you have talent, if you have passion, if you have drive, you shouldn’t be blocked because a scout can’t get to you,” Friedel added. “ScoutUs Pro is unlike any other technology in the world that it breaks down the final barrier between players, athletes and scouts and will help athletes across the globe.”
Similarly, retired pitcher Cory Wade reflected on his experience of being recruited by just one team upon his high school graduation. “I battled my way to the majors and was lucky enough to pitch for the LA Dodgers and the New York Yankees. I always wondered why this process was so difficult, so time-consuming, and, to a certain extent, unfair,” Wade said. “ScoutUs Pro will level the playing field. I am proud to be associated with it.” Monthly access for scouts, agents, managers and matchmakers starts at $99 for individuals, $250 for a team (up to 10 users) and $500 for organizations (up to 50 users). Athletes are able to set up an account and plug in their stats at no cost. Marvin Benard, a former outfielder with the San Francisco Giants, Chicago White Sox and Toronto Blue Jays, thinks it’s a no-brainer for athletes eager to get their start at the professional level. “Scouts rarely came to see my high school team in Los Angeles. I was only discovered because there was a fantastic pitcher on my team, and they accidentally saw me.
