Student athlete Bella Rasmussen made history as the first girl in California to score two touchdowns during a high school varsity football game. Rasmussen, an 18-year-old senior playing running back for Laguna Beach High School in Laguna Beach, ran for two touchdowns in a 48–0 victory over Santa Anas Hector Godinez Fundamental High School on Oct. 14. A video shared by her mother, Annette Rasmussen, shows Bella, No. 24, taking the handoff and running straight up the middle for a 4-yard touchdown before getting tackled to the ground. Another clip shows her scoring a one-yard touchdown. Rasmussen has been playing football all four years of high school, as defensive end and running back, and she now has a total of four touchdowns in her high school career. The Laguna Beach Breakers are currently 5–3 for the season.
