Jake Paul To Take On Mike Tyson In Boxing Match Streamed Live On Netflix

Netflix is stepping into the live boxing ring, partnering with Most Valuable Promotions to exclusively stream a heavyweight boxing mega-event featuring a bout between former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and YouTuber Jake Paul.
The event headlined by The Problem Child, Jake “El Gallo” Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) vs. the Baddest Man on the Planet, Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) will be held July 20 at the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and will stream live exclusively on Netflix, the streamer announced Thursday.
Paul, a YouTuber-turned-fighter, is coming off back-to-back knockouts against Golden Glove winners Ryan Bourland on March 2 and Andre August in December 2023.
“Its crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tysons undercard. Now, less than four years later, Im stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxings most notorious fighters and biggest icons,” Paul said in a statement.
“Within just two and a half years of founding MVP, were about to produce the biggest fight in history, a fight in the biggest NFL stadium in the U.S., broadcast live, on the biggest streaming platform in the world — a testament to all weve accomplished in such a short amount of time, Paul said.

This is the second major combat sports announcement from Netflix in recent weeks, after announcing it will be the new home for WWE Raw in 2025. Paul vs. Tyson will be Netflixs third live sports event, following The Netflix Cup and The Netflix Slam.
